Department of Electronic was the oldest and the largest department in TSEC, which is now changed to Department of Electronics & Telecommunication(in 2002) the first batch of students (around 30) was admitted in 1983.

It offers Under Graduate course in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. It also offers Post graduate course in Electronics and Telecommunication and Computers. The department is equipped with the state-of-art equipments and has well developed laboratories in the related fields. The dept. has its own LAN with Novel Netware, Windows-NT and Linux servers and is connected to the Institute LAN which is with ISDN line for internet access.

It is the Mission of the Department to develop in its students, innovative engineering skills necessary to keep pace with, and be highly sought-after in, the rapidly advancing Electronics and Telecommunications industry
