India is leading in one field across the world and that is Information Technology. It is still rapidly expanding and is expected to grow tremendously over the next few years.
The current education in India has been producing high quality ‘people’ for the IT industry, but still there is a distinct lack of people who are trained to be leaders in this industry, people who will shape its future. In view of this Department of Information Technology in Thadomal Shahani Engineering College was started in 1998 with a total intake of 40 students and subsequently it increased to 120 students and at present it is around 420 students.
